Common questions

Does Hold & Spell need the internet? No. The game is fully offline, including word checking.

Does it need an account? No. There is no sign-up or login.

Does it have in-app purchases? No.

Where is my best score kept? Only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it.

Why did my word not count? A word only counts if you keep your finger on the screen the whole time and the letters spell a real dictionary word. Lifting your finger, or closing a group of letters that is not a real word, ends the run.

What is the difference between Classic and Chaos? Classic is the standard falling-letter game; Chaos adds extra hazards. Both modes keep a separate best score.
